Below are the complete results from tonight’s RAW, which featured Gunther in the main event.
– Seth Rollins kicked off tonight’s RAW by welcoming fans to “Monday Night Rollins,” introducing himself and mentioning that SummerSlam is just 5 days away, with the match between Drew McIntyre and CM Punk approaching. He explains that they’re all in St. Paul to set some ground rules and then introduced Punk and McIntyre, who both made their way to the ring. Rollins noted the tension between Punk and McIntyre and reminded them that if either of them lays a finger on the other or him, the match at SummerSlam will be called off, as per Adam Pearce’s orders. Punk left the ring, while McIntyre accused Punk of being scared of him, promising to keep his cool until Saturday. Punk responded that he’s not afraid of either McIntyre or Rollins, but rather what they might do to him. Rollins stepped in, asserting his authority, saying he volunteered to be the special guest referee for their match because no one else would. He told Punk to get back in the ring if he wants the match everyone, including the WWE Universe, wants to see. McIntyre stated that their rivalry is about being the best and that Punk is not what’s best for business. He told Rollins that Punk is the real enemy. Rollins agreed, saying if anyone hates Punk as much as he does, it’s him, and vice versa. Rollins then set the rules for the match: they must listen to him, as he will be the boss on Saturday. He’ll determine when to count to three, if tap outs count, and if count-outs or disqualifications will be enforced. Punk jabbed at Rollins, hoping he’s a better referee than a dresser, and warned him not to interfere in the match. He insisted he doesn’t want Rollins’ help. McIntyre told Punk he’s focusing on the wrong enemy and should be worried about him instead, expressing his dislike for Punk. Drew complained about constantly hearing Punk’s name and recalls injuring Punk’s triceps, questioning what Punk will do on Saturday after all he’s been through. McIntyre claimed he’s not Punk’s real enemy; the match itself is, with the beating he’ll deliver. Punk retorted, noting that despite being away from WWE for 10 years, fans still cheered for him. He said fans also sing Rollins’ song but don’t cheer for McIntyre. He told McIntyre that his biggest mistake was injuring him and that McIntyre is his own worst enemy. CM Punk concluded by asserting that, while he may not be as big or fast as McIntyre, he has heart and fan support, challenging McIntyre to show what he’s got. McIntyre then held up Punk’s bracelet, which has his wife and dog’s names on it, prompting a face-off between the two. They stared each other down intensely.
