Below are a couple of top WWE news stories of the day, featuring WrestleMania 41 and Elimination Chamber.

• Gunther isn’t excited about facing Jey Uso at WrestleMania 41, admitting he wanted a bigger challenge.

Speaking with Daily Mail, The Ring General explained that he hoped to face someone ranked higher than him to prove himself. However, he acknowledged Jey’s popularity and the fans’ investment in his journey.

Despite that, the World Heavyweight Champion is tired of facing him, saying they’ve wrestled “30, 40 times” and that he’d prefer to be left out:

“I was looking for somebody who is one of the last few remaining guys on the roster that I would say are maybe one step ahead of me, and it would have been nice to be in there with one of them, to bring them down one inch and make a step up.

I think the Rumble was packed like never before. With Jey, there was basically the underdog winning in all of this. But also, on the other hand, he’s maybe the most popular guy we have right now, and people would really want to see him succeed. And they’re strapped in to follow him along this whole ride to WrestleMania now.

I must have wrestled him, I don’t know, 30, 40 times including Live Events. And I’ve got to give it to him, in general, he’s a very likeable guy… but like I said, leave me out.”

• According to Billi Bhatti, John Cena is scheduled to win the Men’s Elimination Chamber match and will go on to face Cody Rhodes for the Undisputed WWE Championship in the main event of WrestleMania 41.

On the other side, Bianca Belair is scheduled to win the Women’s Elimination Chamber match and will go on to face Rhea Ripley for the Women’s World Championship at WrestleMania 41.
