WWE World Heavyweight Champion Gunther recently revealed his pro wrestling Mount Rushmore, but surprisingly left out Goldberg, despite naming him as his favorite wrestler just a few weeks earlier.
During an interview with The Sun, Gunther listed Shawn Michaels, Triple H, Kurt Angle and Eddie Guerrero as his top four, omitting Goldberg in this instance.
“Shawn Michaels, Triple H, Kurt Angle, and Eddie Guerrero,” Gunther said when asked for his Mount Rushmore picks.
This was notable because on the September 9 episode of WWE RAW, Gunther named Goldberg as his favorite wrestler during a conversation with Bret Hart, yet chose not to include him in this list.
Both Triple H and Shawn Michaels have been pivotal figures in Gunther’s WWE career.
Triple H played a key role in bringing Gunther into WWE from wXw, where he was a dominant three-time World Champion.
Now, under Triple H’s leadership, Gunther has risen to the top of WWE’s RAW brand as World Heavyweight Champion.
Currently, Gunther is refusing to grant Sami Zayn a shot at the World Heavyweight Title, despite repeated challenges from Zayn on WWE RAW.
This rivalry could escalate, as Zayn notably ended Gunther’s historic 666-day reign as Intercontinental Champion at WrestleMania 40.
