– During a recent edition of The Ross Report podcast, WWE Hall of Famer Jim Ross discussed Hell In A Cell 2017 PPV. Below is what JR had to say about Baron Corbin winning the United States Championship and Shinsuke Nakamura losing in his WWE Championship match:
On Corbin: “The booking of the US Title, I don’t know if it’s time or it’s too early, too late whatever. It’s certainly not too late. It might be too early for Baron Corbin to get the US Title. But maybe it makes him better and maybe the quality of guys that he gets to work with and the length of the time he’ll be in the ring will help him.”
On Nakamura: “I just don’t understand the Nakamura thing. It’s got me baffled a little bit. I am NOT down on Shinsuke Nakamura. I still believe he is one of the phenomenal athletes in the world. I don’t know what it is. I wish I did. I just don’t think that he’s connected yet to the audience.”
– With Kane competing at this Sunday’s TLC 2017 PPV, Kane will now accomplish the feat of competing at WWF/E PPV events in all 21 calender years since his debut under the Kane gimmick in 1997.
