On a recent edition of his weekly ‘Grilling JR’ podcast, 2007 WWE Hall of Famer Jim Ross spoke about Linda McMahon and claimed that the long-time wife of legendary WWF/WWE promoter Vince McMahon had no desire to be on WWE TV.

Here’s what J.R. had to say about Linda McMahon:

“Linda didn’t have any desire to be on television, but she was a key component in the way the story was being told. She was the matriarch of this McMahon clan, so she had a role there.

It was logical. It made sense for her to be in this group picture, this family portrait, shall we say, but I don’t think she ever had a desire to be on camera.”

Linda McMahon, the former CEO of WWE, made occasional appearances on WWE television in the past. She played a key on-screen role as a supportive and authoritative figure within WWE’s storyline, often portraying a tough, no-nonsense character. Her appearances added an extra layer of drama and intrigue to WWE programming, making her a memorable part of the company’s history.

Vince & Linda got married 57 years ago. Technically, they are still married, but they haven’t been together in a long time.

Linda doesn’t do wrestling related interviews these days. Last time she talked anything WWE related, it was last year when Vince “retired”. She said the following about Vince’s retirement:

“You know what, he’ll just be deciding on how he’s going to spend his free time. I think that’s a good thing.”

She was also asked about Vince’s hush money scandal, but she dodged that question.
