• Hall Of Famer Might Not Retire From WWE In 2022

WWE Hall Of Famer Goldberg has noted in multiple interviews that he has one more match left on his current WWE contract.

He originally signed a ‘2 matches per year’ deal, but as we all know one of his two 2022 matches was already used last year, when he wrestled a total of three matches in 2021, including unsuccessfully challenging for the WWE Championship at the Royal Rumble (against then champion Drew McIntyre) and SummerSlam (against then champion Bobby Lashley), as well as finally getting his revenge on Lashley by beating him at the Crown Jewel PPV in Saudi Arabia.

After his next match, he plans on getting a shoulder surgery done. Here’s what Goldberg said on the Pat McAfee Show:

“This last time with Lashley was the longest time they gave me to prep and you see the results. I felt pretty good.

I won’t tell everybody on national radio or television that my shoulder has been destroyed for the last three years, five years, eight years and I need surgery, but I’ll get it when I’m done. I’ll get it when I’m finished.

If Vince [McMahon] calls me tomorrow morning and says, ‘Goldberg, we need you in a month.’ What am I going to do if I get surgery? I’ll get it done when it’s time.”

During a recent interview with Sports Illustrated, Goldberg was asked if his next match will be the final match of his pro-wrestling career.

The 55-year-old Legend hinted that he might sign a new deal if that’s what WWE wants:

“I’m focused on what’s next. If they want to come back to me with something, we’ll talk. You never know what the future holds.”
