• Hall Of Famer Reveals TNA’s Lowball Salary Offer
A fan posted the following on X: “Jeff Jarrett gave me TNA. I’ll never hate on him.” This led to TNA Hall of Famer Gail Kim replying: “Jeff was also the one who actually gave women’s wrestling a chance when no one else would.”
Another fan then replied to Gail: “You were literally given the women’s title in your WWE debut.”
Gail fired back with the following response: “Yeah and what happened a few years later? I’m grateful for that moment of course, but Diva Search happened shortly after that and they ditched the importance of women’s wrestling for several years. They literally told me that when they fired me. ‘We are moving in another direction and are going to move away from women’s wrestling.'”
A fan then praised Gail’s feud with Awesome Kong in TNA: “Wow that’s messed up on how they fired you. The Women Division would still be good with you and Victoria taking over after Lita and Trish went on to retire. But at the same time we wouldn’t gotten you vs Kong in which is somewhat the best women matches towards the end of the 2010s.”
Gail then revealed that TNA lowballed her with a $36,000 contract offer: “Exactly. Sucks when it happened but everything happens for a reason, right? Just like TNA offering me 36k after my feud with Kong drove me back to WWE. Then I met my husband and later returned. The path was written.”
