On this day in Pro Wrestling history on May 16, 1999, the World Wrestling Federation aired ‘WWF No Mercy UK 1999’ LIVE on PPV from the Manchester Evening News Arena in Manchester, England.

This was an UK-exclusive pay-per-view, just like “WWF One Night Only 1997” and “WWF Capital Carnage 1998” had been during the previous years.

There was also a regular “WWF No Mercy” PPV later that year on October 17, 1999, which eventually became a regular annual event until 2008 and again in 2016 & 2017.

Here are the results from that night:

– Tiger Ali Singh defeated Gillberg

– Steve Blackman defeated Droz

– Kane defeated Mideon by DQ

– Nicole Bass defeated Tori

– WWF European Championship: Shane McMahon (c) defeated X-Pac

– Billy Gunn defeated Mankind

• Hall Of Famer Thinks Bray Wyatt Should Terrorize Vince McMahon & WWE With New Gimmick

As seen on this week’s episode of RAW, former WWE Champion Bray Wyatt showed a dark side of his new character and you can check it out below:

During a recent edition of Busted Open Radio, WWE Hall of Famer Bubba Ray Dudley had the following to say on how WWE should book Wyatt’s new character:

“I want to see him terrorize the entire roster. I want to see him terrorize the entire company. I want to see Vince McMahon walk into his office at Titan Towers and the lights don’t come on. I want to see a flashlight come on and it’s Bray Wyatt’s face in that creepy clown mask. I want to see things that have nothing to do with a wrestling match, until it is absolutely, positively the right time to have a wrestling match.”
