• “He doesn’t have what it takes” – Current Champion On Conor McGregor Possibly Wrestling In WWE

Women’s Intercontinental Champion Lyra Valkyria doesn’t think Conor McGregor would succeed in professional wrestling. Speaking to the Irish Mirror while promoting WWE’s upcoming SmackDown event in Ireland this August, Valkyria was asked about the possibility of McGregor stepping into a WWE ring. Her response was blunt:

“He doesn’t have what it takes.”

McGregor has gone back and forth with wrestlers online in the past. In 2016, he blasted the entire WWE roster before his rematch against Nate Diaz. In 2023, he said he would suplex Paul Heyman, but nothing has ever come of it.

Despite that, some in WWE have shown interest in seeing him make the leap. Cody Rhodes has previously said he’d like to see McGregor try his hand in wrestling.

When asked about McGregor’s potential bid to become President of Ireland, Valkyria declined to comment.

McGregor hasn’t fought in the UFC since 2021, when he broke his leg in his trilogy fight with Dustin Poirier.

• WWE Officials Are Comparing Female SmackDown Star To The Miz

Chelsea Green is receiving high praise backstage in WWE for her professionalism and work ethic, according to PWInsider. Sources told the outlet that Green has become known as someone WWE can count on, especially when it comes to handling media duties. She was specifically recognized for how much she did during WrestleMania 41 weekend. One person within the company even compared her dedication to that of The Miz, who is well-known for his media appearances.

Even though Green was reportedly disappointed about not competing at WrestleMania 41, she continued to stay active. She dropped the Women’s United States Championship to Zelina Vega on the following SmackDown, and has since helped in putting over other talent.

It’s interesting to note that Chelsea has said in interviews that she wants to be the female Miz. Here’s what she said during an interview on The Masked Man Show:

“When I first got called up in 2019, I sat down and said, ‘I want to be the female Miz.’ A lot of people say I’m the female R-Truth. I want to be the female Miz. I want everything. I want you to put me in a movie and you believe my acting and trust that I’m that character.

I want to go out and put a celebrity over and make them look amazing and make them look like a star. I want to make you laugh. I want to do all those things. I think Miz is living the perfect balance of ridiculousness, realism, work, and life. I think he had the perfect career.

That is who I’m striving to be and who I want to emulate my career after. Whenever he does something, I’m like, ‘I want to do that.’ I’m jealous of that.”
