• “He was his own worst enemy” – Jim Ross On AEW Personality Getting Released From The WWF In 1998

AEW Personality Don Callis was a part of the WWF during the Attitude Era. He was known as The Jackyl – leader of the Truth Commission.

During a recent edition of his podcast, Jim Ross had the following to say about Callis getting released from the World Wrestling Federation in 1998:

“I think he was his own worst enemy at times. He could be caustic. He could be attitudinal, shall we say.

Don is a very, very intelligent person and he doesn’t have a lot of patience for ignorance, so sometimes he’s impatient when others don’t accept and embrace his ideas, but he’s a talented guy. He really is a talented guy.”

In All Elite Wrestling, Callis worked as a Manager for Kenny Omega. He helped Omega win the AEW World Championship in December 2020.
