• “He was hurting people every f**king night” – Jake Roberts On Former Intercontinental Champion

During the new episode of his weekly ‘The Snake Pit’ podcast, WWF Legend Jake Roberts talked about former WWF Intercontinental Champion Ahmed Johnson and stated that Vince McMahon wanted Ahmed to be the World Wrestling Federation’s #1 black superstar, but – as we all know – that plan did not turn out too well.

Here’s what Jake had to say:

“I was there when they had [Goldust] kiss Ahmed. Oh, boy, I wouldn’t have wanted to be in his way. He lost his sh*t. Vince did that on purpose.

Vince needed a black superstar, and Ahmed was gonna be it, but then Ahmed just got to where he wouldn’t show up.

He was hurting people every f**king night. He just became unruly, unable to deal with him. Too demanding. They finally had to let him go.”

Ahmed Johnson wrestled for the WWF from July 1995 until February 1998, but would later show up in Ted Turner’s World Championship Wrestling, where he was known as ‘Big T’ and formed the short-lived Tag Team known as ‘Harlem Heat 2000’ with Booker T’s brother Stevie Ray from January 2000 until he was fired from WCW in April 2000.
