There are ongoing rumors in the pro wrestling world these days that former 2-time AEW World Champion CM Punk could return to WWE as early as the ‘Survivor Series 2023: WarGames’ pay-per-view, which will take place on November 25th in Punk’s home state of Illinois.

2-Time WWE Hall of Famer Booker T addressed those rumors on a recent episode of his weekly ‘Hall of Fame’ podcast.

Booker stated that the fact that WWE brought back The Ultimate Warrior in 2013 to promote their 2K14 video game, would be enough proof that they would also consider bringing back CM Punk.

Here’s what the former 5x WCW World Heavyweight Champion had to say about Punk:

“I’m not gonna put it past WWE to hire him back. I do know that just about everyone who left WWE has come back, no matter what problems they’ve had.

Even the Ultimate Warrior, I don’t think anyone thought he would come back because he was more hated than Ahmed Johnson.”

In the past few years, we’ve seen individuals like Bruno Sammartino, Bret Hart, Jeff Jarrett and Scott Steiner, all of whom had tense connections with WWE in the past, make comebacks to the organization to be honored with their Hall of Fame inductions.

Hence, it’s plausible to consider the possibility of ‘The Second City Savior’ making a comeback to WWE.
