• “He was one of the very first in the company to vouch for me” – WWE Hall Of Famer On Pat Patterson

The pro-wrestling world is sending out heartfelt messages after WWE Hall of Famer Pat Patterson passed away at the age of 79 after a battle with cancer.

WWE Hall Of Famer Edge also took time to comment on Patterson’s death, and share some memories they made together.

You can read his Instagram post below:

“The wrestling world got gut punched today. We lost Pat Patterson. An absolute visionary within the wresting business. His mind? Man. The best. So creative. So open to outside ideas. I loved sitting and debating ideas with him. What would work. What could work. And he always listened with an open ear and mind.

He enjoyed the challenges guys like me and Jay, Chris, Dolph etc brought. Sitting under his learning tree was the best education I’ve ever had in reading a crowd beforehand and honestly just everything in regards to this business.

But more than that, I just enjoyed having some wine with him, and busting each other’s chops. He was one of the very first in the company to vouch for me. Rest in power and peace, Gimmick.”
