• Old School WWF Attitude Era Veteran Celebrates His Birthday

Old School WWF Attitude Era Veteran “SmackDown’s #1 announcer” Funaki (Real name: Shoichi Funaki) celebrates his 52nd birthday today.

He joined the World Wrestling Federation in 1998 as part of the ‘Kai En Tai’ faction, which later evolved in just a Tag Team, consisting of him & Taka Michinoku.

He was with the company for 12 years till he was released in 2010, but eventually returned in 2016 as an official WWE commentator for Japanese TV.

– Randy Orton hit WWE Champion Drew McIntyre with 2 Punt Kicks in the opening segment of tonight’s RAW

– SmackDown Women’s Champion Bayley vs. Shayna Baszler ended in a DQ after Nia Jax interfered

– Aleister Black turned heel on the Kevin Owens Show and attacked Owens

– Akira Tozawa def. Shelton Benjamin (c), R-Truth & Cedric Alexander in a Fatal 4 Way to win the WWE 24/7 Championship

– Randy Orton cut a promo and said who the hell does Drew McIntyre thinks that he’s going to just grant another WWE Title rematch to him. Keith Lee then interrupted him and made his official WWE main roster debut. Lee challenged Orton to step up to him and face him in a match tonight, but Orton left the ring. However, WWE later announced that Randy Orton vs. Keith Lee will be tonight’s main event.
