After being released from WWE in January 2006, Heidenreich is back in the spotlight after 20 years, as a post about him went viral on social media. A fan named Wade Stratton posted a photo with Heidenreich and wrote:
“So I’m at work last week and there is an older gentleman stocking, we would always say ‘hey’ in passing , the other day he was like ‘did you ever watch WWE?’ I was like ‘as matter of fact I used to watch it all the time’
Then dude said ‘Yeah, I used to be a wrestler, I’ve wrestled The Undertaker, Booker T, Steven Regal, The Rock, I met Steve Austin at his debut match, Used to hang out with Triple H and Trish Stratus’
Like…… ‘Wait …… What?!’ Your kidding right ……. Dude was in fact……. Not kidding

(I bought his action figure and had him sign it and pose for a picture with me, you could tell it made him happy to be able to be in the spotlight again and things like that make me happy, plus now I can say I’ve been put in a headlock by a professional wrestler lmao 🤣)”
Heidenreich competed in WWE from 2003 to 2006, primarily on the SmackDown brand. He had a high-profile angle with The Undertaker and later feuded with top names including Booker T.
He also captured the WWE Tag Team Championship alongside Road Warrior Animal in 2005 before being released the following year. Heidenreich also did an infamous “r@pe” angle with Michael Cole.
