Hulk Hogan takes a lot of heat from most young wrestling fans and Twitter fans these days.
During an interview with Dr. Beau Hightower, AEW World Champion MJF was asked why Hogan gets heat online these days.
Here’s what MJF said:
“Because he’s a liar and a racist. It doesn’t change the fact that he was a massive draw and the professional wrestling business will never be the same because of him, for the better, but there are plenty of professional wrestlers that did great business, it doesn’t mean they’re great people.
Chris Benoit is a great professional wrestler, it doesn’t mean he’s a good person.
For some reason, wrestling fans kind of struggle with that. They can’t separate the two, which is why I think people love me.
I’m out and out a horrible person, and I’m honest about it. At least I’m honest about it.”
MJF has mentioned Hogan in the past on AEW TV and even mocked him on Twitter.
He once said the following to Adam Cole on Dynamite:
“You’re so skinny and pale white, if this was the 80s, Hogan would have snorted you.”
MJF once tweeted:
“I’ll never forget the day I bodyslammed the 500 pound Big Bill in front of 90k screaming fans in the Saskatoon Silverdome with my brochacho Adam Cole,
Brother.”
