WWE Legend & Hollywood Actor Batista has shared that his recent body transformation has been particularly challenging, as he has dropped around 75 pounds in the last 18 months.
In a recent interview with Chris Van Vliet, the 55-year-old actor revealed he is now the lightest he has been since he was 19, weighing around 240 pounds, down from 315 pounds in 2023.
He discussed the difficulties of shedding weight after gaining it for his role in Knock at the Cabin. Reflecting on his wrestling days, he noted:
“This is probably the lightest I’ve been since I was 19 years old. The heaviest I’ve ever been was 370 pounds. When I started Deacon, I was about 325 pounds, and throughout most of my wrestling career, I was about 290 pounds.
Now, I’m about 240 pounds. Just a year and a half ago, for Knock at the Cabin, I went up to 315 pounds. And that’s when the nightmare started. Getting that weight off has been a challenge.
I probably overdid it. I was probably a little too big, but at the time I was just thinking: ‘I gotta get big’. I put on an uncomfortable amount of weight, and it took me forever to shed it off.
Then I noticed the more I trimmed down, the better I felt. And I also noticed the more I trimmed down, the better I looked on camera, the better I look next to other actors.”
Former WWF / WWE Manager Dutch Mantell (Uncle Zebekiah / Zeb Colter) isn’t a fan of The Animal’s new look and said the following on his podcast:
“Good god, my god. That’s… yep. He’s horrible looking. The body… what’s he… what’s he weigh now? He gotta weigh under 200. He looks really thin. Hey, if you took his… I could tell by the face, but if you took his face off, you couldn’t tell who that was at all.”
