Below are a couple of top news stories of the day, involving Jim Ross, Missy Hyatt and Becky Lynch.

• Former ECW Valet Missy Hyatt recently opened up about her past relationship with WWE Hall of Famer Jim Ross, revealing that they dated a couple of years after the passing of Ross’s wife, Jan.

Jan Ross tragically passed away in 2017 from a traumatic brain injury. She was driving to a local gym on her Vespa in Norman, OK, when she was hit by a car. Jan was not wearing her helmet and suffered multiple skull fractures, leading to her death a few days later. Jim Ross has openly shared the profound impact of her loss and continues to honor her memory after their long and happy marriage.

During an appearance on “Cafe de René”, Hyatt was asked if she would consider spending a night with Ross and if she would give him a chance to “rock it up”. This question prompted Hyatt to reveal their past relationship.

Here’s what Hyatt said:

“Honestly, me and Jim dated for a couple of years, about two years after his wife passed away, we dated for about two years. So, yeah, I’ve rocked his world. He’s rocked my world.”

• The Wrestling Observer is reporting that Becky Lynch is going on an extended leave from WWE:

“Becky Lynch did not renew. Becky Lynch is taking an extended leave. From what I was told, it’s not like a short period of time. She was looking for a long period of time out.

If [Seth Rollins is] not on the road, it makes sense for her not to be on the road. They can’t be hurting for money or anything where they need it right now, and maybe she’s looking at other things.”

Xero News further added that Becky is expected to remain on hiatus for the rest of 2024, and then return on the road to WrestleMania 41.
