Hideo Itami To Join The Raw Cruiserweight Division After WrestleMania 33?

Hideo Itami KENTA

As we noted before, NXT Wrestler Hideo Itami returned from injury at an NXT Live Event in Orlando, Florida. He interfered in Riddick Moss’ tag team match and delivered a GTS to him.

Itami has been out of action since October 2016 due to a neck injury. It should be noted that he was out of action for the better part of 2016 with a shoulder injury as well.

There have been talks of Itami debuting on the WWE main roster after WrestleMania 33 and being a part of the Raw Cruiserweight division and 205 Live.

Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer also noted that Itami most probably won’t remain in NXT now and might become a part of the Cruiserweight division.

This is in accordance with previous update on Vince McMahon wanting to add wrestlers with name values in the Cruiserweight division and the 205 Live show. That’s the reason why Neville & Austin Aries have been added to the Cruiserweight division (although they are legitimate Cruiserweights and belong in that division).
