Below are a couple of top WWE news stories of the day, involving WrestleMania 40 and Austin Theory.
• WWE is promoting WrestleMania 40 as their biggest show ever. They have already brought back The Rock for it, and they might use another huge name for the event.
According to WrestleVotes, WWE wants to work with Hollywood Legend Sylvester Stallone at WrestleMania XL:
“Sources within WWE indicate there is interest in collaborating with Sylvester Stallone for WrestleMania in some form.
While any communication status is unclear, I’m told there’s hope for it. Whether it ultimately ends up happening or not is to be determined.
Stallone, born in NYC, gained fame through the iconic Rocky films, deeply associated with Philadelphia.
Additionally, Stallone is no stranger to the WWE world, having inducted Hulk Hogan into the WWE Hall of Fame in 2005.”
If both sides come to a deal, it most likely will be for the opening video package for the 40th anniversary of WrestleMania.
• Anthony De Ceglie, editor-in-chief of The West Australian, dismissed wrestling as “fake” during a conversation with Austin Theory, resulting in a filmed “altercation” between them.
Still images from the incident were later released, and the story was featured prominently in the latest edition of the paper.
However, upon viewing the footage, it’s evident that the confrontation was not genuine, despite the paper’s attempt to portray it as such.
