Below are some top WWE news stories of the day, involving Bret Hart, Shawn Michaels and Ric Flair.

• In a interview with Vince Russo in 2014, King Kong Bundy expressed his belief that wrestlers like Bret Hart and Shawn Michaels were responsible for the decline of the wrestling business, attributing it to their perceived lack of stature as ‘grown men’ in pro-wrestling, despite being legitimate Heavyweights (over 220 lbs) in their prime.

Bundy criticized Hart for having an out-of-control ego and appearing like a “little kid” in the wrestling ring, not meeting the expectations of a World Champion in terms of physical presence.

Despite having been friends with Hart in the past and staying at his house, Bundy’s perspective changed upon his return to the WWF, where he asserted, “The advent on the downfall of this business was champions like Bret Hart and Shawn Michaels. Horrible World Champions. Did not look like grown men in my opinion.”

Additionally, Bundy mentioned being surprised by the extent of Hart’s ego while reading his book.

King Kong Bundy passed away in 2019 at the age of 61. The biggest moment of his career was main eventing WrestleMania 2 in 1986, where he unsuccessfully challenged Hulk Hogan for the WWF World Heavyweight Championship in a Steel Cage Match.

• Ric Flair has claimed in the past that he has slept with 10,000 women, and he’s sticking with that claim.

Below is what Flair said on NBC Sports Radio:

“Well, if you do the math, I started when I was in seventh grade! Let me say that hypothetically, I slept with 5 people. You’d go to your friend next door and go, ‘bullsh*t!’ If I had said, ‘250,’ you’d go, ‘bullsh*t.’ If I said, ‘5,000,’ you’d say, ‘oh, maybe.’ I’m not far off on that number.”
