• How William Regal Is Able To Return To WWE Despite Signing A Multi-Year Contract With AEW

At AEW Full Gear 2022, William Regal helped MJF defeat Jon Moxley to win the AEW World Championship.

On this week’s episode of AEW Dynamite, MJF turned on Regal by punching him from behind with brass knuckles. Regal was then taken out on a stretcher.

Multiple sources have reported that Regal is done with All Elite Wrestling and will now return to WWE.

Regal originally signed a multi-year contract with AEW and fans are wondering how Regal can get out of his AEW contract to return to the rival promotion.

According to the Wrestling Observer, this could be possible because of a clause in Regal’s AEW contract:

“He’s gone. He’s no longer going to be in AEW. The belief among people within WWE is that when he signed with AEW, he essentially had an agreement where if Triple H returns to power, he can go back to WWE. And Triple H is now back in power.

The belief within WWE is that is what is going on. He is going back to WWE and it was part of an agreement that he made when he signed and Triple H is now back in power and so William Regal is returning.”
