On this day in Pro Wrestling history on July 10, 1988, Jim Crockett Promotions aired ‘NWA The Great American Bash 1988: The Price for Freedom’ LIVE on PPV from the Baltimore Arena in Baltimore, Maryland.
This was the 4th edition of the annual The Great American Bash events, although the 1986 & 1987 Great American Bash events were actually tours that included several shows with the best matches making it to the official VHS, that made them being presented like 1 big event in both years, even though they weren’t.
There was no Great American Bash in 1993 & 1994, but after WCW was sold to the World Wrestling Federation in 2001, Vince McMahon brought the pay-per-view back in 2004 under the WWE banner.

• How WWE Plans To Execute The Finish Of The ‘Eye For An Eye’ Match Between Seth Rollins & Rey Mysterio
Seth Rollins and Rey Mysterio will battle in an ‘Eye For An Eye’ match at The Horror Show at WWE Extreme Rules in just a week from Sunday.
The first person to pull out their opponent’s eye will be declared the winner.
The Wrestling Observer is reporting that WWE will be taping the match to have it air without any flaws. They plan to add some form of CGI effects to simulate an eye being pulled out at the conclusion of the bout.
