1. Huge New Main Event Plans For SummerSlam 2017

As we noted before, Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer reported that WWE has decided to move the originally planned WrestleMania 34 main event between Brock Lesnar & Roman Reigns for the Universal Title to SummerSlam 2017 (as WWE officials think Brock being the Champion and not being around much is hurting their product).

However, Billi Bhatti noted that Reigns vs. Lesnar is still planned for the main event of WrestleMania 34 and that no WWE writer even wants to try to pitch an idea for a different WrestleMania main event as they know it’ll be a waste of time because Vince McMahon will turn it down. This report came in accordance with the betting odds for Great Balls of Fire 2017 PPV (where Braun Strowman was the favorite to win his match with Reigns and that’s exactly what happened). In case WWE wanted to do Reigns vs. Lesnar at SummerSlam 2017, then the logical choice would’ve been to book Reigns to defeat Strowman in their Ambulance match and have Reigns carry momentum on his side during his clash with Lesnar.

With that being said, Dave Meltzer is still sticking to his report and noted that it doesn’t matter what happened at the Great Balls of Fire 2017 PPV, Reigns vs. Lesnar for the Universal Title is still going down at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York at SummerSlam 2017.

On this week’s episode of Raw, it was announced that Roman Reigns will face Samoa Joe in the main event of next week’s Raw and the winner of that match will face Brock Lesnar for the Universal Title in the main event of SummerSlam 2017 PPV.

Billi Bhatti is now reporting that a Fatal 4 Way match is now expected to be the main event of SummerSlam 2017 – Brock Lesnar vs. Roman Reigns vs. Braun Strowman vs. Samoa Joe.

If this is what WWE’s planning to do, then expect Braun Strowman to interfere in next week’s Raw main event between Reigns & Joe and this would lead to a Fatal 4 Way match being booked at the biggest event of the Summer.
