Hulk Hogan and his beer brand, Real American Beer, are being sued by a woman from Akron, Ohio, who claims she was hit in the head with a sealed beer can during a promotional event last August.

According to FOX 8, the lawsuit, filed on Monday, accuses Hogan and others of “negligence causing injury” after a beer can was thrown about 50 feet, striking the woman in the forehead near her hairline. The incident took place on August 19, 2024, at Thirsty Cowboys during a Real American Beer promotion.

“It’s unconscionable to think that you’re going to go to a bar to see a celebrity and end up being pelted with a can of beer,” said Attorney Eric Tayfel, representing Michelle Harlukowicz. He stated she needed stitches and will have some permanent scarring.

The lawsuit claims Hogan and event promoters tossed free cans into the crowd, and Harlukowicz, who was near the back wall by the dance floor, was unexpectedly struck. Her attorney says she never saw the can coming.

Photo of her injury shows a wound shaped like a can on her forehead, requiring nearly 10 stitches. Medina Township Police investigated but did not press charges, as they couldn’t determine who threw the can.

The lawsuit alleges that either Hogan or one of the promoters was responsible. Thirsty Cowboys and its owner, Aaron Lind, are also named in the suit, with the argument that the venue had a duty to ensure patron safety.

Harlukowicz is seeking compensation for medical expenses, pain and suffering, and emotional distress.

Speaking of Hogan, he recently appeared on The Pat McAfee Show and discussed getting booed on the RAW Netflix premiere in Los Angeles.

Hogan said he anticipated getting booed in LA, but couldn’t cut a heel promo because he was there to promote his Real American Beer. He noted that he would’ve cut a heel promo if he was out there for a wrestling angle.

Hulk said he got booed due to political reasons. When McAfee asked if “some other stuff” played a part in the negative reaction, Hogan said of course.

Despite the negative reaction from the fans, Hogan looked at his appearance in a positive way, as it drew 11 million impressions on social media, while other top WWE stars drew around 3 million impressions on that night.
