Hulk Hogan’s Backstage Reaction To Getting Booed On RAW

Hulk Hogan faced heavy boos during last night’s Netflix debut of Monday Night RAW.

According to Chris Featherstone, sources close to Hogan revealed that he attributes the negative reaction to political differences, claiming, “he stood for what they didn’t stand for.”

Hogan reportedly wasn’t surprised by the response, expecting a mixed reaction in a city like Los Angeles, which he views as generally liberal and not aligned with his personal political views.

RAW commentator Pat McAfee didn’t miss the chance to mock this situation on The Pat McAfee Show.

In a parody segment, McAfee’s “Hogan” claimed the crowd was chanting “Hulk Hooooogan,” not booing, and humorously issued challenges to several black WWE stars, including Kofi Kingston, Xavier Woods, and Trick Williams, as well as legends like The Godfather and Farooq.

While the segment drew laughs, it also reignited debates about Hogan’s controversial past. The wrestling icon faced backlash in 2015 when a leaked tape revealed him using the N-word, leading to his temporary removal from WWE. Although Hogan has apologized and returned, the parody’s focus on Black stars, paired with his controversial history, raised eyebrows.

The spoof ended with “Hogan” expressing a desire to face The Rock in a farewell match, saying he’d whoop The Great One on both nights of WrestleMania 41 in Las Vegas, and saying “f**k you” to the fans who booed Jimmy Hart last night.
