Below are a couple of top WWE news stories of the day, featuring Hulk Hogan and Bad Bunny.

• Hulk Hogan’s role in WWE’s programming continues to evolve despite recent challenges. His appearance on last week’s RAW to promote both the show’s Netflix debut and his Real American Beer sponsorship was met with significant backlash, as fans heavily booed him, creating a viral moment that gained media attention.

Following the reaction, speculation arose that Hogan’s on-screen presence might become less frequent.

However, WWE is moving forward with plans for Hogan to appear at Saturday Night’s Main Event on January 25th.

Interestingly, Jesse Ventura is also scheduled for the event, adding an element of intrigue given their well-documented history.

Ventura has openly criticized Hogan in the past for tipping off Vince McMahon about his attempts to unionize wrestlers. It remains unclear how WWE will manage the dynamic between the two or what specific role Hogan will play at Saturday Night’s Main Event.

So far, WWE has announced the following two matches for the next Saturday Night’s Main Event:

– Gunther (c) vs. Jey Uso for the World Heavyweight Championship

– Bron Breakker (c) vs. Sheamus for the Intercontinental Championship

• Bad Bunny’s recent comments about WWE planning to host Backlash in Mexico have stirred some confusion. While speaking with Rolling Stone, Bunny hinted at the event’s potential location, but he didn’t specify a timeframe or venue.

Here’s what he said:

“What can I tell you? It was nice. We were there until we could bring WWE to Puerto Rico. And man, I actually feel like it was good for them and for everyone, because I saw that last year Backlash was in France, now it’s going to Mexico. They saw that it worked.”

However, according to a report by PWInsider, several WWE insiders have disputed this claim, stating that there are currently no plans to hold Backlash in Mexico.
