Below are some top WWE news stories of the day, involving Rey Mysterio, Penta and Charlotte Flair.
• Penta battled Rey Mysterio in the 2025 Men’s Royal Rumble match. During an interview with Chris Van Vliet, Penta was asked about being compared to Mysterio, and Penta said he doesn’t want to be the next Rey Mysterio:
“Bro, I have the best answer for that. He is the true (one). I don’t want to be the next Rey Mysterio. I want to be the first Penta El Zero Miedo in WWE because Rey Mysterio have my respect.
Rey Mysterio is the legend. Rey Mysterio is my role model, brother. I don’t want to be like this, you know.
I want to be the first Penta because my style is very different. My style in the ring is different, like very Mysterio. Rey Mysterio inspired me, of course, but I don’t want to (be the) same (like) this.
Never doubt about me, about my talent, about my energy, about my passion for this sport. Yeah, I think this is the best form for me to be here.”

• After winning the Women’s Royal Rumble, Charlotte Flair has been making her presence felt across WWE programming, appearing on RAW, NXT, and SmackDown to build momentum for her return and WrestleMania 41 title match.
She has hinted at challenging any of the top champions, including Women’s World Champion Rhea Ripley, NXT Women’s Champion Giulia, and WWE Women’s Champion Tiffany Stratton.
Since returning, Flair has been presented as a babyface, but according to Dr. Chris Featherstone, WWE officials plan to make her a full-blown heel heading into the WrestleMania 41 title match, which is expected to be against Stratton.
The original plan was for her to remain a babyface, and she has hinted that she might delay announcing her opponent until the night of the event. With WrestleMania 41 still over two months away, her decision remains up in the air.
