– During an interview with WrestlePurists, AEW World Champion MJF was asked about fans comparing him and WWE SmackDown Superstar Grayson Waller.
The Devil responded by saying that he feels bad for Waller because there are no similarities between them, but fans still makes comparisons between the two wrestlers.
“You know who I feel bad for? I feel bad for Grayson Waller. Because I get f**king tagged daily in ‘Yo Grayson Waller is just trying to be MJF!’ Like f**king hell he is. Do you see me wrestling in f**king basketball shorts? Do I have a f**king accent? Am I 6’2? Like, no.”
– WWE Hall of Famer Edge aka Adam Copeland made his All Elite Wrestling debut at the AEW WrestleDream PPV.
Prior to the pay-per-view, former WWF Champion Kurt Angle said the following about the rumors of the Rated R Superstar joining Tony Khan’s promotion:
“I think Edge is loyal to WWE. He’s been loyal since day one. Don’t get me wrong, a lot of other wrestlers have crossed over, especially his best friend and kind of brother, Christian, but I just don’t see Edge doing that. I really believe he’s going to be WWE for life.”
– During a recent appearance on WWE’s After The Bell podcast, new NXT Champion Ilja Dragunov praised Intercontinental Champion GUNTHER for helping him:
“There’s only one thing, and the one thing I can say is I would never be the person I am today without him. Not even slightly. There’s not one person to push me that hard, who shaped me this way, who taught me. The only reason that I am this good right now and making a name for myself is because of him. There’s not one person like him. There’s no Ilja Dragunov without GUNTHER.”
Dragunov and GUNTHER had one of the best matches ever in NXT UK during the COVID-19 pandemic. Their feud continued and several months later, Dragunov ended GUNTHER’s record 870 day NXT UK Championship reign at NXT Takeover 36 in the summer of 2021.
