WWE Ruthless Aggression Era Veteran Maven was recently a guest on Booker T’s weekly ‘Hall of Fame’ podcast, and revealed that he would be open to becoming a surprise entrant in a future 30-man Royal Rumble match, but doesn’t actually expect WWE to call him for such a spot.

Here’s what Maven had to say:

“I mean, I’m not an idiot. I’m never gonna say no to an opportunity. But then again, I don’t see it happening, I mean, I don’t.

For whatever reason, I mean, I don’t consider myself an a**hole. I never even got the call to do a Royal Rumble spot. And I would’ve thought at some point maybe they’ll just throw me in the Rumble, and it never happened.

I pi$$ed somebody off along the way, Book.”

Maven only entered 2 Royal Rumble matches during his WWF/WWE career, which included the 2002 Rumble, in which he famously eliminated The Undertaker in a shocking upset, as well as the 2003 Rumble.

His last WWE match took place on June 20th 2005 on a Sunday Night HEAT TV-Taping, where he teamed with The Heart Throbs in a losing effort against Rosey, The Hurricane & Val Venis.

In 2021, Maven revealed that he met with Triple H in 2020 and discussed getting an opportunity to do some announcing work in WWE.

However, the COVID-19 pandemic hit and Maven’s return never happened, as WWE began releasing wrestlers and employees due to budget cuts.
