Below are a couple of top WWE news stories of the day:

– Former WWF Champion Kurt Angle was recently interviewed on the Grue Rume Show, where he appeared to promote his documentary on Peacock.

During the interview, Angle praised AEW’s Kenny Omega and WWE’s Ricochet. He went on to say that Ricochet can be a big draw for WWE because he’s very talented.

“I like watching Kenny Omega wrestle for AEW. He’s a great wrestler. A great athlete. I love the guys, wrestlers like Ricochet in WWE. I think he’s really underrated. I think a guy like that can be a huge main eventer for the company and draw a lot of money for them. The matches that he has are just incredible.”

Ricochet competed against Logan Paul in a losing effort at SummerSlam earlier this year. He also got involved in the World Heavyweight Championship feud between Seth Rollins and Shinsuke Nakamura on this week’s episode of RAW.

– Damage CTRL’s Dakota Kai tore her ACL on the May 17th episode of SmackDown earlier this year, when she teamed up with Bayley in a match against Liv Morgan and Raquel Rodriguez.

She underwent surgery later that month and has been out of action since then. The former WWE Women’s Tag Team Champion has made some appearances on television during the past couple of months, though.

Speaking on her Twitch channel, Kai gave an update on herself and revealed that she won’t be able to compete in the ring until January 2024.

“Probably, 2024, actually. I do think it’s funny that a lot of people are like, ‘She’s not injured at all, look at her walking around.’ ACL injury, it’s – I haven’t even learned how to jump and run again yet. I think I’m going to start running this week.

ACL recovery, especially for someone that is in sport or something like that, where you use your legs a lot — if I was a desk worker or something like that, I would be back to work properly, like fully now, but because it’s wrestling I won’t be clear until January.”

A return in the 2024 Women’s Royal Rumble match seems like a possibility for Kai.
