Former WWE Superstar Matt Riddle is facing accusations of failing to fulfill commitments for a Meet & Greet and a match with World Classic Professional Big Time Wrestling.

Wrestling Promoter Dillon Hines alleges that Riddle, alongside an individual named Michelle Grey, made last-minute financial demands and breached their agreement. Hines stated that Grey requested $2,000 on Riddle’s behalf for a flight, which he paid after confirming her connection with Riddle.

However, the demands escalated, with Riddle allegedly increasing his fee from $8,000 to $10,000, then refusing to attend the Meet & Greet and altering terms for his appearance.

Hines shared screenshots of communications and said the incident caused significant financial losses, impacting ticket and Meet & Greet sales. His legal team is exploring options for recovering damages, and he vowed never to work with Riddle again, criticizing his professional conduct.

Here’s what Hines posted:

“On Saturday Morning, December 14th, at 6:32AM, an individual under the name of Michelle Grey reached out to me. She stated that for Matt Riddle to get on his flight, that he’d need to receive $2,000.

I woke up at 7:20AM. I attempted to call the individual to see if this was a scam or not, I’ve never heard of this person’s name until Saturday at 7:20am. This individual refused to speak over the phone. I reached out to Matt, who up to this point did business with us directly, for verification on who this individual was and the legitimacy of their representation.

After receiving the verification, I would send the individual the $2,000, as in everything I’ve always tried to do, my goal was to deliver what was promised. I’ve booked Matt out for matches when I had him out for WrestleCon and Squared Circle Expo, and knew that they were holding us up for more than he charges, after informing us he’d not attend the Meet & Greet, I was informed he’d need $5,000 for just a match.

Unfortunately, thanks to Michelle Grey and her new client Matt Riddle, I couldn’t deliver what was promised. From the understanding between Matt and I, we had a deal for $8,000 plus travel, I’ve been told by someone that has investigated the situation that Matt was wanting $10,000.

After speaking with our legal team, we have been informed that we can go after Riddle and Grey for damages, which includes the sales of the Meet & Greets, as well as the sales for the event. I will never work with Riddle again, as with his career in the WWE, he’s riddled with issues.

In our industry, a promo is as good as a contract. He did the promo, he chose not to perform to the contractual agreement.”
