During an interview with Fan Nation, WrestleMania 39 main eventer Cody Rhodes stated that it’s his goal to induct his brother Dustin Rhodes aka Goldust into the WWE Hall of Fame one day.
He also said that he wouldn’t turn down an opportunity to team up with Dustin again. They held the WWE Tag Team Championship together back in the day. Dustin works in AEW right now, a company he joined to support Cody.
Here’s what The American Nightmare had to say:
“I would like to induct Dustin into the Hall of Fame. I would also never turn down an opportunity to team with him again, and we’ve had an even better experience wrestling against each other.
It’s a very unique brotherhood. Dustin’s an all-time great. I’m not saying he’s going anywhere, but he won’t be here forever.
I hope people appreciate that he is still trying to go at the highest level and trying to pass his knowledge on, and I would jump at the chance to do one more thing with him.
To induct him in the Hall of Fame, which is so well deserved on his part, and Arn Anderson. Arn is blood in his own way. I’d love to do more with Dustin and Arn.”
Dustin Rhodes had several stints in the World Wrestling Federation (1990-1991, 1995-1999, later WWE 2002-2003, 2005-2006 & 2009-2019), in Ted Turner’s World Championship Wrestling (1991-1995 & 1999-2001) and even in Total Nonstop Action! (TNA, 2004-2005 & 2007-2008), before he signed with Tony Khan’s All Elite Wrestling in 2019.
Cody Rhodes first wrestled for WWE from 2007 until 2016 and later, after stints in IMPACT Wrestling (2016-2017) and All Elite Wrestling (2019-2022), returned at WrestleMania 38 as the mystery opponent for Seth Rollins.
