• “I’m not interested” – Top TNA Star On Potential WWE NXT Return
Dolph Ziggler (now known as Nic Nemeth outside of WWE) worked in NXT in 2022. He had a feud with Bron Breakker in which he ended up winning the NXT Title.
The 45-year-old, who is currently signed to TNA, was asked by Chris Van Vliet on INSIGHT if he would be interested in returning to NXT under the developmental brand’s partnership with TNA.
He believes that younger talents deserve to get the spotlight under that partnership now as he has already achieved everything he could in NXT.
“If it’s to go to NXT and have a match, I’m not interested. I’ve done everything I could possibly do in NXT.
I would much rather, let’s get Leon Slater there. Let’s get some people who are young, up-and-comers, who get a piece of that… that would be great for them. I don’t think me being there helps TNA.”
TNA has a lot of former WWE stars who recently showed up in NXT for the Showdown special, but it is clear that Ziggler did not want to be one of them.
• Matt Riddle Reveals His UFC Salary
On TMZ’s Inside The Ring podcast, Matt Riddle revisited his UFC firing, explaining that he was released for testing positive for marijuana – something he still views as unfair.
He said he was making $25,000 per fight at the time and was cut even though many other fighters have faced worse controversies and stayed.
Riddle noted that Dana White still ignores him whenever they cross paths, including at the MMA Awards, suggesting that White still holds a grudge.
He contrasted his treatment with White’s own public controversies, calling the hypocrisy “crazy.”
While Riddle doesn’t regret how his UFC run ended, he said it pushed him to thrive elsewhere – in pro wrestling.
