• Injured WWE Star Set To Return Soon

Ilja Dragunov has been sidelined since suffering a torn ACL in September 2024, but his comeback now appears close. Back in January, Corey Brennan reported that Dragunov was spotted at the WWE Performance Center. On March 31, PWN noted that September 2025 was the tentative target for his in-ring return.

More recently, WrestleVotes revealed that Dragunov was still at the Performance Center, though it’s unclear if he had resumed full in-ring work at that time.

Sources told Cory Hays that Dragunov has been rehabbing intensely – multiple times per day – in a bid to speed up his recovery. In a new update, Hays reports that Dragunov is now expected to return to WWE TV from his injury very soon.

• What WWE Roster Has Been Told About Karrion Kross & Scarlett

Karrion Kross and Scarlett’s WWE contracts have expired and they have been moved to WWE’s alumni section. In an update, WWE has also removed Kross’ theme song from Spotify.

According to Fightful Select, sources from both the WWE roster side and creative team say they’ve been informed that, at this point, their departure is legitimate.

Fightful also reported that Kross and Scarlett were originally scheduled to travel to last week’s post-SummerSlam edition of RAW, but WWE changed their travel plans at the last minute and they didn’t appear on the show.

Kross and Scarlett are expected to address their situation in the coming days.

• Latest WWE Departure Announced

NXT wrestler Ashante “Thee” Adonis’ WWE contract has expired and WWE didn’t renew it. Adonis announced his departure with the following statement:

“After 6 unforgettable years under the WWE lights, the time has come for me to close that chapter. I’m filled with nothing but gratitude for every opportunity, the experiences, lessons, and incredible talent I’ve had the chance to work with.

I’m truly excited to show the world what I can really do. Sometimes you gotta get off multiplayer and progress your story mode. I believe i’m the face of the future and the reason your girl stopped texting you back.

This is a brand new beginning. I am becoming the best version of myself. You have only seen a glimpse of my true potential, and im just scratching the surface. I know that to some this can be a dark time, but stars can’t shine without darkness.
