Below are a couple of top WWE & AEW news stories of the day:

• Liv Morgan has been out of action since July due to a shoulder injury.

During an interview with Dallas Morning News last month, Raquel Rodriguez said the following about her tag team partner Liv:

“Yeah, I’ve talked to Liv. She’s doing great. She’s really recovering well. She’s in very good spirits, and of course, she’s very, very anxious to come back.

I don’t have a specific date of when she’ll be back. We’re all waiting for her. I know, I miss her terribly. So I’m very excited for that. But I feel like time has been flying, and she’s just been on it, on her recovery.

So I would assume she’d be back sooner rather than later. And probably before any of us can really imagine.”

In an update, the Wrestling Observer is reporting that Liv Morgan is set to return soon.

Liv last competed on the July 17th episode of RAW, where she & Raquel lost the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship to Chelsea Green & Sonya Deville.

• All Elite Wrestling announced that Ric Flair has signed a multi-year deal with them, and his “Wooooo! Energy” drink is now the exclusive energy drink of AEW.

According to Fightful Select, the manufacturer of the “Wooooo! Energy” drink will cover a significant part of Ric’s AEW salary, if not all. That’s why the drink tie-in is an important part of Ric’s deal with AEW.

Flair’s deal is similar to that of Randy Savage’s deal with WCW in the mid-90s, where Macho Man’s Slim Jim deal paid a lot of his salary.
