• Injured WWE Star To Start Preparing For In-Ring Return Soon

Chad Gable last wrestled as El Grande Americano at WWE x AAA: Worlds Collide, where he headlined the show in a losing effort against El Hijo del Vikingo for the AAA Mega Championship.

Gable underwent shoulder surgery in the summer and has been out of action since.

According to PWInsider, he is expected to be at the WWE Performance Center this week as he begins working towards his in-ring return.

During his absence, Ludwig Kaiser has portrayed the El Grande Americano character. Kaiser recently lost the WWE Speed Championship to Jasper Troy, a title Gable originally won from Dragon Lee in May.

As he starts preparing for his comeback, Gable’s stablemates, The Creed Brothers, are also rumored to return soon.

• John Cena “Very High” On NXT Star, Sheamus Also Impressed

Je’Von Evans began his pro wrestling career in 2018 and signed with WWE five years later after making a name for himself on the independent scene. WWE officials reportedly see the 21-year-old as the present and future of the company.

According to Bryan Alvarez of the Wrestling Observer, John Cena is “very high” on Evans and has been extremely impressed with him. This comes after The GOAT spent time at the WWE Performance Center over the last month, where he was spotted with many young NXT talents.

The report also noted that Sheamus was full of praise for Evans following The Celtic Warrior’s match against Evans at a recent NXT live event.

Evans wrestled the biggest match of his career last night on RAW at Madison Square Garden, where he faced former World Heavyweight Champion GUNTHER in the first round of The Last Time Is Now Tournament. He lost, but his performance received a lot of attention.

His big week continues tonight, as Evans will team up with TNA star Leon Slater to challenge DarkState for the NXT Tag Team Championship on Night 1 of Gold Rush.

WWE will hold an NXT vs. main roster exhibition at Saturday Night’s Main Event featuring John Cena’s final match, and Evans looks like someone who could get another opportunity to shine there.
