• The Rock joined the TKO Board of Directors last month and the Wrestling Observer is reporting that a part of that deal was for Rock to return to the ring to face Undisputed WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns:
“When he made the deal on January 3 to come in, that was part of the deal. And why Cody Rhodes won the Royal Rumble was a question that I cannot answer because nobody will answer it for me.
The belief was that it was Roman Reigns and Cody Rhodes, and nobody knew, but the deal had been made prior to that. It played out the way they wanted it to play out.”
Word going on is that Rock pushed for his match against The Tribal Chief to take place at WrestleMania 40 once Brock Lesnar and CM Punk were taken off the card.

• Andrade returned to WWE during the Men’s Royal Rumble match. On last week’s RAW, he signed with the red brand.
According to PWInsider, Andrade is set to be a babyface.
Jade Cargill made her WWE in-ring debut during the Women’s Royal Rumble match. As of this writing, WWE hasn’t assigned her to a main roster brand internally.
