After successfully defending his Cruiserweight Title against former Champion Rich Swann on Raw, Neville was interviewed by Austin Aries.
Neville noted how there’s no real competition left for him in the Cruiserweight division and he really can’t name a person who can beat him for the Title.
This lead to the crowd chanting “Austin Aries” and Aries noted how the crowd disagrees with him. Neville then told Aries to leave the ring or he’ll re-break his orbital socket.
This led to Aries attacking the “King of the Cruiserweights” and clearing the ring. Aries then posted with the Cruiserweight Title belt and made a big statement.
We have noted before how Neville vs. Aries for the Cruiserweight Title is expected to happen at WrestleMania 33, and the seeds for that were planted in this segment.
Neville will address this situation with Austin Aries on tomorrow’s night’s edition of 205 Live.
