Interesting Finish To WWE Women’s Title Match At Bad Blood

WWE Bad Blood 2024 took place at the State Farm Arena in Atlanta, Georgia.

The PLE kicked off with the Hell in a Cell match between Drew McIntyre and CM Punk. WWE Hall of Famer Goldberg and his son Gage are seated ringside.

The match begins with McIntyre and Punk staring each other down before trading right hands. McIntyre gains control, sending Punk into the corner and landing strikes, but Punk counters with punches of his own. McIntyre retaliates with more right hands, then tosses Punk out of the ring and tries to throw him into the cage.

Punk blocks with his boot, whips McIntyre into the cage, and grabs a table from under the ring, sliding it inside. He also grabs a chair but McIntyre seizes it, hitting Punk and slamming him into the ring steps before stomping on his neck.

McIntyre pulls out a toolbox, grabs a wrench, and attempts to strike Punk, but Punk counters with punches. He takes the wrench, jamming it into McIntyre’s head before rolling him back into the ring. McIntyre connects a boot to Punk’s head and sets up the table, but Punk stops him, sending McIntyre throat-first into it. Punk uses the table leg to continue attacking McIntyre, ramming him into the other leg and targeting his eye. McIntyre fights back, rolls out of the ring, but Punk follows, attempting to lift him. McIntyre escapes and lands a Claymore Kick on Punk.

Punk is busted open after going head-first into the cage. Drew later got busted open as well after Punk hit him in the head with a tool box. Punk locks in the Sharpshooter on Drew, but Drew manages to get out of it. McIntyre superplexes Punk through a table on the outside.

Punk hits McIntyre with the GTS in the ring and went for the cover, but McIntyre kicked out. McIntyre hits Punk with the White Noise on top of the steel ring steps and goes for the cover, but Punk kicks out.

CM Punk locks in the Anaconda Vice. Drew tries to break it with a tool, but Punk snatches it away. Punk is about to hit Drew in the head with it, but Drew hits a low blow. Drew goes for the Claymore, but misses and lands lowerback-first into the steel ring steps.

Punk has now wrapped a steel chain around his knee and then hit the GTS for the win.

Punk had to be helped to the back.

Jacqueline, Lilian Garcia and Booker T were shown at ringside.

Up next is the WWE Women’s Championship match between Nia Jax and Bayley. After back and forth action, Bayley has Nia beat, but the referee is down. Tiffany Stratton runs down for the Money In The Bank cash-in. Nia catches her and Tiffany is scared. Bayley tries to take advantage, but can’t. Nia hits a Samoan Drop on Bayley from the second rope, followed by the Annihilator for the win.

Nia leaves in anger, but Tiffany is left wondering what’s gonna happen now.

Up next is the battle of the former Judgment Day brothers – Damian Priest and Finn Balor. Despite interference from Carlito and JD McDonagh, Priest picked up the win.

Triple H came out and announced that at Crown Jewel, the Men’s World Champions (WWE Champion vs. World Heavyweight Champion) and the Women’s World Champions (WWE Women’s Champion vs. Women’s World Champion) will collide to crown the WWE Crown Jewel Champion. This is going to be an annual event.

World Heavyweight Champion Gunther came out and said he’ll defeat Sami Zayn. Gunther then began insulting Goldberg and Goldberg loses it. Goldberg is out to fight, but the security stops him. Sami attacks Gunther from behind and Gunther retreats.

Triple H raised Goldberg’s hand in the ring and he posed for the fans to a big pop.

Up next is the Women’s World Championship match between Liv Morgan and Rhea Ripley, with Dominik Mysterio locked in a Shark Cage. After back and forth action, Dirty Dom managed to unlock the door of the cage, but can’t do anything as he’s up in the air.

Dominik is hanging down from the cage now, as his leg is chained up to the cage. Rhea takes a kendo stick and starts hitting Dom with it, which leads to Raquel Rodriguez returning and attacking Rhea from behind, causing the disqualification.

Rodriguez powerbombed Ripley in the ring.

Up next is the main event of the evening – Roman Reigns and Cody Rhodes vs. The Bloodline. Cody and Roman got special entrances.

After back and forth action, Cody sacrifices himself to take out Jacob Fatu with a Frog Splash through the announce table. After exchanging punches, Roman hits a Superman Punch to Solo. Roman is going for the Spear, but Tama Tonga & Tonga Loa cause the distraction.

Solo ends up hitting Roman with the spear and goes for the cover, but Roman kicks out. A mystery man shows up who takes out the Tongas and it’s Jey Uso! Roman hits Solo with a Spear and picks up the win!

Roman Reigns & WWE Champion Cody Rhodes def. The Bloodline (Solo Sikoa & Jacob Fatu)

Reigns and Uso hugged after the match. Roman looked at the WWE Title, nods and leaves the ring. The Bloodline attacked Cody from behind. Roman and Jimmy made the save. Roman picked up the WWE Championship and gave it to Cody, and The Rock’s music hits! The Final Boss came back with the People’s Championship.

The Rock raised the People’s Eyebrow, did the Throat Slash sign and left. Michael Cole said The Rock is “back”.
