Interesting Match Involving The Undertaker Announced For MSG Live Event

WrestleMania 33 - The Undertaker vs. Roman Reigns (The Phenom vs. The Big Dog)

• Two Big Names Leaving WWE After SummerSlam 2018?

According to Justin Barrasso of Sports Illustrated (yes, the guy who reported Rey Mysterio vs. John Cena would take place at WrestleMania 34), “The Beast Incarnate” Brock Lesnar is set to drop the Universal Championship at SummerSlam 2018 PPV and then both Lesnar and his advocate, Paul Heyman, are expected to leave WWE.

Lesnar currently gets paid per match and Heyman’s contract expires by the end of August.

Below is what Barrasso posted:

“According to sources close to WWE, Lesnar is widely expected to drop the belt, at the latest, by SummerSlam. Because Lesnar’s new contract pays him by the fight, dropping the belt could signal the end of his time in WWE.

If Lesnar is, in fact, finished with WWE following SummerSlam, then Paul Heyman would also be finished with the company as there are no current plans for Heyman outside of his role as Lesnar’s on-screen advocate. SummerSlam takes place on Sunday, August 19, which would make Heyman a free agent by the end of the month.”

While Barrasso reported multiple false stories during the WrestleMania 34 season, Lesnar dropping the Universal Championship at SummerSlam 2018 is something that would most probably happen because WWE officials have been building up to that moment for months and Lesnar is eyeing a return to UFC.

Speaking of Lesnar dropping the Universal Championship at SummerSlam 2018, he’s expected to face “The Big Dog” Roman Reigns once again and drop the Title to him.

• Interesting Match Involving The Undertaker Announced For MSG Live Event

As we noted before, The Undertaker was announced for the July 7th WWE Live Event in Madison Square Garden. This will be Taker’s return to MSG after 8 years.

Taker’s last appearance at MSG was on September 25, 2010, where he lost to Kane in the main event.

The Undertaker will be in the main event of the MSG Live Event once again as he’ll be teaming up with “The Big Dog” Roman Reigns and Mr. Money In The Bank Braun Strowman to take on the team of Kevin Owens, Elias and ‘Constable’ Baron Corbin.

This is an interesting situation as Undertaker will be teaming up with a man who defeated him at WrestleMania (and ‘retired’ him at that time) – Roman Reigns.

This will be The Undertaker’s 3rd match this year. He defeated John Cena at WrestleMania 34 and defeated Rusev in a Casket match at the Greatest Royal Rumble.

It should be noted that this won’t be The Undertaker last match of 2018, as he’s scheduled to work WWE ‘Super Show-Down’ Live Event in Australia at MCG on October 6th. The Undertaker’s opponent on that night will be “The Game” Triple H.

Below are the 3 matches that have been announced for this Live Event so far:

– The Undertaker, Roman Reigns & Mr. Money In The Bank Braun Strowman vs. Kevin Owens, Elias & ‘Constable’ Baron Corbin

– Ronda Rousey vs. Nia Jas (with RAW Women’s Champion Alexa Bliss as Special Guest Referee)

Intercontinental Championship Match: Dolph Ziggler (c) vs. Seth Rollins vs. Finn Balor
