• Internal Reaction To Current State Of WWE Women’s Tag Team Division
The WWE Women’s Tag Team division has become one of the strongest parts of RAW in recent months. The Women’s Tag Team Titles gained major credibility at SummerSlam when Charlotte Flair and Alexa Bliss won the belts, giving the division a lot of star power.
Since then, the division has been at the center of multiple storylines, including its major involvement in the build to this year’s Women’s WarGames match at Survivor Series. Right now, the tag scene is stacked with top teams such as Rhea Ripley & IYO SKY, The Kabuki Warriors, The Judgment Day, Charlotte Flair & Alexa Bliss, and Bayley & Lyra Valkyria.
The Women’s Tag Team Championship currently feels more prestigious than it has in a long time, with nearly every top team setting their sights on Asuka and Kairi Sane, who currently hold the gold.
According to TC of WrestleVotes, WWE officials are happy with the current state of the Women’s Tag Team division. The company is satisfied with the work all the women are putting in to bring credibility to the division.
On the latest episode of RAW, Rhea Ripley and IYO SKY continued their feud with The Kabuki Warriors, while Bayley and Lyra Valkyria went at it with Liv Morgan and Roxanne Perez.
• John Cena’s Wife’s WWE Role Revealed
John Cena’s retirement tour has been packed with historic moments. He started the year as the runner-up in the Men’s Royal Rumble before turning heel to align with The Rock at Elimination Chamber.
The GOAT then captured his 17th World Title by dethroning Cody Rhodes as Undisputed WWE Champion in the main event of WrestleMania 41 – Night 2. He recently became a Grand Slam Champion after defeating “Dirty” Dominik Mysterio for the Intercontinental Title.
Through all of this, Cena revealed the crucial role his wife, Shay Shariatzadeh, has played behind the scenes, and expressed how grateful he is for her support.
“I used to have WWE as my safe space. I didn’t want to f**k it up. I didn’t want to get fired. I never wanted to hear those words again. So I’m going to do everything I can to control everything – if I’m just alone,” he told INSIGHT with Chris Van Vliet.
Cena went on to reveal that his wife worked with him on promos and pitched some ideas. She even wrote a line for Randy Orton’s promo during the Cena vs. Orton feud ahead of Backlash.
“She’s been backstage with me – not backstage in catering. We share the same room. We talk, we solve all the world’s problems in there. She writes promos, she gives ideas. She wrote the lazy boy joke for Randy’s promo.
She gives a perspective… she’s not a super fan, but she’s not ignorant. I’m really grateful for the role she plays – it makes everything easier and more meaningful.
Now with the knowledge base she has, I can put on a match… When I came back from the Rumble in MSG, no one knew. They kayfabed me. I stayed in a locker room. She’s like, ‘Which one?’ The one at the Garden we saw dead out at the bottom of the ramp. Oh my god.
We now have that connection. I can plug her into the previous 18 years of my life – and she understands.”
John Cena’s wife was ringside many times during his retirement tour, and she will likely be at Saturday Night’s Main Event for his final match against GUNTHER.
