Let us take a look at the top 8 WWE News & Professional Wrestling stories of the hour:
8. Jim Ross Is Happy For Jerry Lawler
As we noted before, WWE Hall of Famer Jerry “The King” Lawler was reinstated by WWE after the domestic violence case with Lawler and his girlfriend settled down. Below is what Jim Ross wrote about it:
“Happy that Jerry Lawler has been reinstated by WWE and I look forward to seeing Jerry back on WWE TV at some point in the future. I knew all along in my heart that The King was not a domestic violence participant and that alcohol was the culprit in this unfortunate and embarrassing matter.”
Lawler will be back on SmackDown commentary this week.
7. WWE Officials Concerned About Seth Rollins
Many WWE officials are concerned about the well being of the former 2 time WWE World Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins. As we all know, Rollins returned from injury at Extreme Rules 2016 and has worked about 15 matches last month. He’s wrestling on Raw, SmackDown, PPVs and main eventing every live event he’s involved in.
Some WWE officials think Vince McMahon & Triple H are asking him to do too much and this could prove fatal in the long run. Hopefully this problem will be solved after the Brand Split.
Similar concern is there for the WWE Champion Dean Ambrose as well, who recently did a double duty at a WWE Live Event due to Roman Reigns’ suspension creating a big hole in the roster.
