• “It shocked the wrestling world more than it shocked Vince McMahon” – WWE Official On Chris Jericho Joining AEW
On the latest episode of his weekly ‘Oh You Didn’t Know’ podcast, The Road Dogg Jesse James (aka Brian Armstrong) spoke about the relationship between Vince McMahon and WWF Attitude Era Legend Chris Jericho.
The D-Generation X member confirmed that Vince was shocked when Y2J ended up leaving WWE and signed with Tony Khan’s All Elite Wrestling in 2019, but not as shocked as most other people within the professional wrestling business.
Here’s what Road Dogg said:
“It was what it was. It shocked the wrestling world more than it shocked Vince McMahon. I can tell you that for 100%.”
At that time in 2019 when Y2J joined AEW, the famous New Age Outlaw was working for WWE in a non-wrestling capacity as a writer and a producer.
He’s currently the Senior Vice President of WWE Live Events (House Shows).
