Jade Cargill Makes Her First SmackDown Appearance

Below are the complete results from tonight’s SmackDown:

– 16-Time WWE World Heavyweight Champion John Cena kicked off tonight’s post-Fastlane episode of SmackDown. Cena welcomed everyone to the Season Premiere and he was interrupted by the returning Undisputed WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns.

Roman told Cena if he’s going to open his show, he better do it the right away. Roman told the fans to acknowledge him, and they did. Fans started chanting for Cena and Roman said they are cheering for a coward, because Cena only decided to return when he was on his leave, and then WWE had the audacity to call Cena the ‘Greatest of all time’. Roman said:

“You already know who the G.O.A.T. is, it’s Roman Reigns.”

Cena said he’s not here to challenge Reigns, he’s here to acknowledge Reigns. Cena then said Reigns has earned his 1,100+ day title reign, but he won’t challenge him because he hasn’t earned it, but he knows a person who has, which led to LA Knight coming out.

Knight said while Reigns was sitting on his couch for the last two months, things changed here on SmackDown, and he told the fans to tell Roman whose game it is. Roman asked LA who the hell he thinks he is, because he has done things over the last 1,100 days that LA can’t even imagine.

LA said he’s the fastest rising star in the history of SmackDown and Jimmy Uso came out of nowhere to attack LA. However, LA took Jimmy out. Roman wasn’t happy about all of this and left the ring. Roman told Solo to take out LA Knight tonight.

LA Knight vs. Solo Sikoa will be the main event of tonight’s SmackDown.

– Pretty Deadly def. The Brawling Brutes (Butch & Ridge Holland)

– Kayla Braxton interviewed Carlito backstage and asked him how does it feel to be back in WWE. Carlito said it’s cool. Bobby Lashley interrupted and welcomed Carlito to his show. Carlito challenged Lashley to his first singles match back in WWE, which led to The Street Profits attacking Carlito from behind.

– Roman Reigns told Jimmy Uso backstage that Jey Uso is disrespecting the legacy of The Usos by being Tag Team Champions with another partner. Roman told Jimmy to handle it and Jimmy said “Yeet”. Roman said he doesn’t like that.

– Bayley def. Zelina Vega

Damage CTRL kept attacking Zelina after the match, which led to Charlotte Flair making the save.

– Triple H came out to a huge pop and said there’s a big part of him that misses that. HHH called Adam Pearce an unsung hero in WWE over the last 3 years. He thanked Pearce and shook his hand. Triple H said this is a very difficult job, to manage both RAW & SmackDown. Triple H said Adam will no longer do it alone and Adam is getting a promotion. Pearce is now the new General Manager of Monday Night RAW.

Triple H was about to announce the General Manager of Friday Night SmackDown, which led to NXT North American Champion Dominik Mysterio coming out. Dirty Dom said Judgment Day got screwed out of their Tag Team Titles at Fastlane.

HHH said he always thought WWE was pumping in all that noise, but these are real loud boos for Dominik.

Triple H then introduced the General Manager of SmackDown – former TNA & NWA World Heavyweight Champion Nick Aldis. Aldis shook Pearce’s hand and said he looks forward to some healthy competition. Aldis shook Dominik’s hand and he’s a big fan… of his dad.

Aldis was then about to reveal Jey Uso’s replacement on SmackDown. Dominik said it doesn’t matter who it is, as he’s going to slap him. Jey’s replacement was revealed to be Kevin Owens. Owens hit Dominik with a Stunner.

Roman Reigns isn’t happy with Kevin Owens on his show.

– In a backstage segment, Nick Aldis told Charlotte Flair that she’ll face IYO SKY for the WWE Women’s Championship on next week’s SmackDown. Jade Cargill then made her first ever appearance on SmackDown. Triple H introduced Jade to Charlotte. Charlotte said she knows who Jade is and said it’s nice to meet Jade. Jade said it’s a pleasure and Charlotte said ‘oh, it will be’. You can watch this exchange below:

– Cody Rhodes & Jey Uso (c) def. Austin Theory & Grayson Waller to retain the Undisputed WWE Tag Team Championship

While Cody & Jey were heading to the back, The Bloodline came out. Roman Reigns and Cody had a face-off, which led to Nick Aldis coming out and telling them ‘not tonight’. This was a tease for the WrestleMania 40 main event, as they are rumored to go at it again next year.

– LA Knight def. Solo Sikoa

Jimmy Uso tried to interfere, but John Cena came out and hit Jimmy with an Attitude Adjustment. Solo then hit Cena with the Samoan Spike. LA took advantage of a distracted Solo and hit the BFT for the win.

As LA was celebrating his victory, Roman Reigns laid him out with a Spear. The Show ended with The Tribal Chief raising the Undisputed Title over his head.
