Jake “The Snake” Roberts confirmed that he is still with AEW, despite not appearing frequently on TV.
Speaking with The Wrestling Classic, Roberts stated,
“It’s still going well, I’m still there. We’re just not doing much. I love it there. I love Tony Khan, man.
Right now, he’s trying to do so much, he’s got a stable of wrestlers like no other.”
Roberts also addressed AEW’s handling of his client, Lance Archer, saying,
“Oh god no. No, they haven’t, man. He can do so much, he’s probably the best big man in the business.” Despite the current lack of screen time, Roberts assured fans, “Oh yeah. Yeah,” when asked if he would be back soon.
He also spoke about his health, revealing that while he occasionally uses oxygen, he feels good overall.
Reflecting on his life, Roberts shared,
“I’m 69 years old. If someone would have told me that I’d live to 69, I would’ve laughed at them… I’ve been sober now for twelve years. No drugs, no alcohol, and just trying to enjoy life. I’m doing it.”
Jake Roberts’ resilience and dedication to his health and sobriety make him a powerful presence both in and out of the wrestling ring.
