• Jeff Hardy Might Not Return To AEW, Matt Hardy Confirms Nixed Title Win Plan

Earlier this year, former WWE Champion Jeff Hardy was arrested for DUI once again.

This led to AEW President Tony Khan suspending Hardy from All Elite Wrestling. Hardy then entered rehab.

Jeff’s brother Matt Hardy later went on to tease that we’re going to see a “new” Jeff Hardy soon.

However, 6 months have gone by and there’s no update on Jeff.

On his podcast, Matt said that there’s a chance Jeff doesn’t return to AEW and also confirmed reports of there being plans for The Hardys to win the AEW World Tag Team Titles before Jeff’s DUI situation:

“Just very unfortunate, things that happened with Jeff. Hopefully it is something that is, he is going to make into a positive and he’s going to turn everything around in his life and he can come back and be better and we’ll see.

I don’t know. I don’t know. Maybe he comes back, maybe he doesn’t. But, you know, we were scheduled to do all kinds of things during that summer.

Yeah, I think we were going to see the Hardys as the AEW World Tag Team Champions if Jeff didn’t suffer that very unfortunate twist of fate.”
