TNA Wrestling has announced a change in the TNA World Tag Team Championship match at their Under Siege event on May 23rd.
The match will now feature Matt Hardy teaming with Leon Slater against current champions The Nemeths, Nic Nemeth (Dolph Ziggler) and Ryan Nemeth. This change comes because Jeff Hardy is unable to travel to Canada for the event.
Originally, The Hardy Boyz, Matt and Jeff Hardy, were scheduled to challenge for the tag team titles. However, Jeff Hardy’s past legal issues, specifically DUI arrests, prevent him from crossing the Canadian border due to strict Canadian immigration laws regarding criminal convictions for impaired driving. These issues have caused travel problems for Jeff before.
BREAKING: @MATTHARDYBRAND has chosen @LEONSLATER_ as his partner to challenge @NicTNemeth and @ryrynemnem for the TNA World Tag Team Titles at #TNAUnderSiege LIVE on TNA+ on May 23 from the CAA Centre in Brampton, Ontario.
