Jeff Hardy has revealed his dream retirement scenario: a career-ending WWE match against CM Punk that could potentially retire both wrestlers.
Speaking with Tim Hann Rivera, Hardy expressed his desire to end his career with a memorable match, a Hall of Fame induction, and a high note.
Hardy and Punk share a storied history, including their 2009 rivalry over the World Heavyweight Championship. Their paths briefly crossed again in AEW in 2022, though a match never materialized.
Currently, Hardy is succeeding in TNA Wrestling as one-half of the TNA World Tag Team Champions with his brother Matt, but hopes to conclude his legendary career on WWE’s grand stage alongside Punk.
Here’s what Jeff said:
“Ultimately, man, I’d like to do a really cool match in the WWE and do the Hall of Fame and all that stuff to really end it on the highest note possible.
Looking back at my career now, the history is just a glimpse, like a blink of an eye, when you achieve so much and then you’re here at this point, older in life.
So it’d really be special to have a killer match, maybe make CM Punk retire, and then go into the Hall of Fame.”
