• Jerry Lawler Expected To Leave RAW Soon, Possible Replacement
As we noted yesterday, WWE revealed their new commentary teams for RAW, SmackDown, and NXT and you can check them out below:
RAW: Jerry Lawler, Vic Joseph, and Dio Maddin
SmackDown: Michael Cole, Corey Graves, and Renee Young
NXT: Mauro Ranallo, Nigel McGuinness, and Beth Phoenix
According to ProWrestlingSheet, Lawler’s return to RAW commentary team isn’t expected to last long as WWE is looking for a replacement soon:
“According to sources, Lawler will likely only be used for a short period of time on Raw. We’re told other people are being looked at for the spot on a full-time basis.”
Word going on is that former WWE Women’s Champion Mickie James could end up replacing Jerry as they are preparing Mickie for that role.
This could be the reason why Mickie was used on commentary during this week’s episode of WWE Main Event.
